151 E-service centres set up across Tamil Nadu


Last year through video conferencing, Chief Minister declared open 151 e-service centres across Tamil Nadu. Through the e-service centres public can get details of income certificate and caste certificate, among others. At such e-service centres, the public will also be able to pay property tax, water tax among other Government taxes.

This will save people of this state trouble of having to visit a Government office in person. In the initial phase, about 14 such e-service centres were launched. This we are told was launched as part of a pilot study that was undertaken by the State IT department. Motivated by the success of the pilot study, over one hundred e-service centers were inaugurated last June.

Going ahead, the public by paying the prescribed fee can avail various services at the e-service centres.
