The Salem Railways has stated that train services between Katpadi and Chennai of the Coimbatore-Chennai Central Intercity Express has been temporarily cancelled since engineering works are to be carried out in Arakkonam.
Coimbatore: The Salem Divisional Railways has announced a temporary cancellation of intercity train services between Katpadi-Chennai since engineering works are being carried out in Arakkonam area.
The Salem Railways stated that services between Katpadi and Chennai of the Coimbatore-Chennai Central Intercity Express has been temporarily cancelled. The Intercity Express train (No.12680) operating between Coimbatore and Chennai Central stands cancelled between Katpadi and Chennai, on April 19, 20, 26, 27.
The train which leaves Coimbatore at 6.15 in the morning will be operated only from Coimbatore to Katpadi. Similarly, the train between Chennai Central and Coimbatore (Train No:12679) will depart from Katpadi at 4.20 pm on April 19, 20, 26 and 27.
