Coimbatore-Salem 'MEMU' passenger train starts normal operations; Passengers from four districts happy

From now on, you can travel from Coimbatore to Salem for Rs 35 and from Tirupur to Salem for Rs 25. As a result, passengers from four districts are happy.


Coimbatore: Commuters in four districts are happy as the Coimbatore-Salem 'MEMU' passenger train operation is getting back to normal from yesterday.

Coimbatore-Salem MEMU Passenger (06802), which was stopped due to covid-19 lockdown, was launched on June 11 after a gap of two-and-a-half years. Passengers were happy as the train was running after a long time.

However, due to engineering upgradation work between Kaveri and Anangur from The 12th, the next day, the train was running only from Coimbatore to Erode till yesterday. After the completion of the work, train movement is being restored from today onwards.

From now on, you can travel from Coimbatore to Salem for Rs 35 and from Tiruppur to Salem for Rs 25. As a result, passengers from four districts are happy.
