Coimbatore Corporation to hold tax collection camp on September 16, 17 - Corporation Commissioner

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner has announced that the public can pay their tax dues using the special tax collection camp to be held on September 16 and 17 in wards 56, 57, 75, 87, 85, 11, 19, 62 and 80.


Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Prathap has announced that special tax collection camps will be held in the city on September 16 and 17.

In a statement, Corporation Commissioner Prathap said,

The first half of the current financial year 2023-24 is scheduled to end on 30.09.2023. In addition to the property tax for the first half of 2023-24 paid beyond 01.10.2023, it has to be paid along with 1% interest per month.

Therefore, keeping in view the convenience of the general public, special tax collection camps will be conducted on 16.09.2023 and 17.09.2023 in the following areas to pay all tax and tax-free items such as property tax, vacancy tax, profession tax, drinking water charges and shop rent amount to coimbatore corporation upto the first half year.

Ward No. 56 and 57 of the East Zone are located at Ondipudur - Weavers Colony - Sungam Ground and in ward no. 75 of The West Zone in front of Seeranaickenpalayam Netaji Road- Mariamman Temple. Vasantham Nagar-Prince Garden area in ward 87 in south zone, Konavaikkalpalayam-corporation primary school in ward number 85 and Surya Gardens area of Janatha Nagar in ward no 11 of north zone. It will be held at Maniyakaranpalayam Amma Canteens in Ward No.19, Ward No.62 of Saramedu Corporation Primary School in Central Zone and Kempatti Colony Corporation Primary School in Ward No.80.

Therefore, on 16.09.2023 and 17.09.2023, all the tax collection centres of the Corporation, including the above special camps, will function as usual from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.

Taking full advantage of this facility, the public should pay the arrears due to the Corporation for the first half year of 2023-24 and cooperate with the development work of the Corporation. Corporation Commissioner Prathap said.
