Applications invited for Cracker licence for upcoming Diwali.


Those who want to apply for temporary cracker licence within Coimbatore City Police. Jurisdiction (Jurisdiction of B1 to B4, C1 to C4, E1 to E3 and D1 to D4 (B1 to B15) Police Stations) for the ensuing "DEEPAWALI FESTIVAL" which falls on 29.10.2016 should send their applications in complete shape to reach the Commissioner of Police, Coimbatore City, 01.07.2017 10 A.M to 31.07.2017 5 P.M. with the following documents.

  • Application in Form-4 affixing court fee stamp worth Rs.2/-.
  • Licence Fees remittance Challan for Rs.500/- Challan will be issued in this office.
  • Sketch/Plan of the place of stock & business 6 - copies, wherein the address of the business place should be furnished with the applicant's signature.
  • Property Tax receipt of the building. Property Tax for the period upto first 1/2 year of 2017-18 (i.e) upto 30.09.2017 should be paid.
  • If rented building, consent letter of the owner of the building, recorded in a stamp paper worth Rs.20/- with two witnesses with address along with property Tax receipt. Property Tax for the period upto first % year of 2017-18 (i.e) upto 30.09.2017 should be paid.
  • In case of Corporation, other Department Buildings, consent letter from the authorities of department concerned.
  • Fees remittance receipt for licence from Corporation/Local body.


The applications enclosed with the documents should be submitted to this Office from 01.07.2017 10 A.M to 31.07.2017 5 P.M. Applications received by 5 PM on or before 31.07.2017 along with the above documents alone will be considered and temporary licence will be issued after due verification, if satisfied on Police point of view.

As per the instructions of Department of Explosives, roadside shops shall not be permitted. No further extension of time will be granted. Belated applications will not be considered and they will be rejected without any notice.
