Dr.Ketankumar Vadodaria in his guest lecture educated the students regarding the field of medical textiles and the career opportunities. He shared that there are various types of like technical textiles like Agro textiles, Geo textiles and that nearly 13 varieties of textiles are in use.

Agro based textiles (green shade covers) are used in agricultural fields to reduce the atmospheric effects and control the production of crops. In the field of medicine, textiles are used in various forms like fibre, yarn, fabric and garment for various purposes like sutures, surgical gowns, band aids wound dressings, hospitals linens etc.,

At present, nearly 60% of the medical textiles is being imported from abroad this shows lack of awareness regarding career opportunities in medical textile field.Though demonetization has affected the field but slowly the industry is bouncing back with a lot of scope.
