The miscreants seem to have entered the Karupparayan Temple in Sripathi Nagar near Ramanathapuram and broken open the hundial. The temple priest Ramesh who arrived on Monday morning to open the temple was shocked to find the hundial broken and money stolen. He lodged a complaint with the Ramanathapuram police station.

Ramesh (58) works as a priest in the temple and had locked the temple as usual on Sunday and went home. At midnight, miscreants reportedly entered the temple, broke open the hundial, looted Rs.5,000 in cash and escaped.
The next day when the priest Ramesh opened the temple door, he was shocked to find that the hundial had been broken and Rs.5000 cash had been stolen. Following this, he lodged a complaint with the Ramanathapuram police station. Based on the priest's complaint, the police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the miscreants.
