Minister Senthil Balaji inaugurated the upgradation of the School for the Deaf in R S Puram area which is soon to turn into a model school at an estimated cost of Rs. 110.50 lakh under the Chief Minister's 'Namakku Naame' scheme.
Coimbatore: A School for the Deaf is functioning in the R S Puram area of Ward No. 72 in the Thondamuthur Assembly Constituency in Coimbatore district.

The school is to be upgraded to a model school at an estimated cost of Rs. 110.50 lakh under the Chief Minister's 'Namakku Naame' scheme. The Electricity Minister, Senthil Balaji inaugurated the construction of the additional buildings.

Following this, Minister Senthil Balaji addressed the students of the school. He explained about the projects to be undertaken in the school and also assured them that additional laboratories, dining room and girls' hostel will be provided under the scheme.

Coimbatore District Collector, G S Sameeran, Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation Commissioner, M Prathap, Coimbatore Mayor, Kalpana Anthakumar and other Government officials were present on the occasion.
