TNAU to host one-day training on 'Beekeeping' on Nov. 7 at Coimbatore campus

Those interested in attending the one-day training on Beekeeping will have to be present at the Department of Entomology, TNAU, Coimbatore at 9 am, show an ID proof and remit the training fee of Rs. 590 on the day of training. Training timings are from 9 am to 5 pm.



Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore which offers one-day training on 'Beekeeping' every month at the Department of Agricultural Entomology in its Coimbatore campus will host this month's training on November 7.

Hands-on training will be imparted on the following essential aspects of Beekeeping:

- Identification of bee species and social organization of bees

- Rearing Indian bees in boxes, general and seasonal management

- Bee forage, yield increase of crops through cross pollination

- Honey extraction

- Enemies and diseases of bees and their management
