CCMC Commissioner inspects ongoing desilting works in Ward No.97 of Coimbatore Corporation South Zone

The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation Commissioner, M Prathap who personally inspected the ongoing waste disposal works in Pillaiyarpuram Canal on Madhukarai Road in Coimbatore directed the engineer to complete the works at the earliest.


Coimbatore: With the onset of the northeast monsoon, the Municipal Corporation officials are inspecting and desilting the rainwater harvesting areas and storm water drains in the Corporation area.



As part of this, desilting of the Pillaiyarpuram channel on the road from Kasthuri Garden area to Madukkarai under 97th ward of Coimbatore Corporation South Zone is in progress. The desilting work is being carried out through a porcelain machine to remove the accumulated waste sludge in the canal and load it into trucks and dispose of it completely.



Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation Commissioner, M Prathap inspected the ongoing waste disposal works in Pillaiyarpuram Canal on Madhukarai Road in Coimbatore and directed the engineer to complete the work at the earliest. Following this, he enquired about the route to the canal and the places where water would be drawn.

Deputy Mayor Vetri Selvan, South Zone President Dhanalakshmi and Municipal officials were present during the inspection.
