Hindi poster notification removed at Tirupur railway station due to protest

Railway authorities immediately removed a Hindi poster at the Tirupur railway station following strong protests over the display of the poster in the HIndi language which read 'Sahayog' also in English and Tamil, which signified 'Information Center."

Tirupur: The information center at the Tirupur railway station had originally 'Information Center' written in English, Tamil and also in Hindi words.

On noticing a newly-printed paper notice which read 'Sahayog' pasted over the original writing of 'Information Center,' in Hindi, Tamil and English, some of the passengers protested.

While most of the public assumed that it was written thus in HIndi for the migrant population in Tirupur to understand, some passengers protested that they did not understand its meaning since it was a Hindi word written in Tamil and English too.

Railway authorities immediately removed the poster pasted in front of the original 'Information Center' notification.
