More than 40 petitions pertaining to death certificates, road facilities, electric lights, drinking water facilities, underground sewerage, industrial tax, property tax, vacancy tax, new water connection, name change, medical, health and education were received by Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar at the meeting.
Coimbatore: Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar chaired a public Grievances Day meeting at the Coimbatore Corporation office on Tuesday. The meeting was chaired by the Municipal Corporation Commissioner M Prathap. Deputy Mayor Vetriselvan and Corporation Deputy Commissioner Sharmila attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the public submitted memorandums to Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar. The petitions containing various demands pertaining to death certificates, road facilities, electric lights, drinking water facilities, underground sewerage, industrial tax, property tax, vacancy tax, new water connection, name change, medical, health and education were received.

Of these, 5 petitions were filed in the eastern zone, 6 petitions in the west zone, 5 petitions in the northern zone, 3 petitions in the south zone, 15 petitions in the central zone and seven in the main office. Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar who received the petitions, directed the officials to take immediate action on the petitions.
Zonal Assistant Commissioners, Assistant Executive Engineers, Assistant Town Planning Officers, Assistant Engineers, Corporation officials and the general public participated in the meeting.
