Assembly Public Enterprises Committee Chairman, S R Raja distributed welfare assistance to 19 beneficiaries in Coimbatore

A sum of Rs.10 lakhs as subsidy for self-employment and Rs. 5.05 lakhs for purchase of vehicles to three beneficiaries were sanctioned by the Government to 19 beneficiaries.


Coimbatore: A review meeting on the audit columns of the Government Departments was held at the Collectorate auditorium in Coimbatore under the chairmanship of S R Raja, Chairman of the Public Enterprises Committee of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly and Tambaram MLA.

Legislators Aravind Ramesh, Arunmozhidevan, Krishnasamy, A K Selvaraj, R D Sekar, Thamizharasi, S S Balaji and others took the lead. Later, the welfare assistance to the beneficiaries was distributed by S R Raja, Chairman, Public Enterprises Committee, Legislative Assembly. Accordingly, orders were issued for obtaining old age pension to three beneficiaries on behalf of the social security scheme and free house site pattas were issued to two beneficiaries on behalf of the Revenue Department.



A sum of Rs. 5.74 lakhs was sanctioned as subsidy to four beneficiaries on behalf of the backward classes and Minorities Welfare Department to four beneficiaries with electric motors and Rs. 5.74 lakhs for self-employment to three beneficiaries on behalf of TAHDCO.

A subsidy of Rs.10 lakhs was granted to four self-employed women SHGs and Rs.10 lakhs for purchase of vehicles for three beneficiaries were granted. S R Raja, Chairman, Public Enterprises Committee, Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly distributed Government welfare schemes to 19 beneficiaries, including a grant of Rs. 5.05 lakhs.

District Collector G S Sameeran, Assembly Secretary Dr. K Srinivasan, Joint Secretary Cheeman Pandian, Executive Director (SIPCOT) Tidel Park Managing Director, Nishant Krishna and others participated in the meeting.

On Tuesday morning, an inspection was carried out at the Customs Transport Workshop, SIDCO, Peelamedu Technology Park and other places under the chairmanship of S R Raja.
