Coimbatore: DMK Youth Wing secretary and Chepauk-Triplicane MLA Udhayanidhi Stalin today took charge as the Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development.
Governor R N Ravi administered the oath of office to Udhayanidhi Stalin as the Minister of Youth Welfare and Sports Development at the swearing-in ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan in Chennai.
Udayanidhi was elevated and given the role of the Minister in the recent reshuffle of the Tamil Nadu cabinet, in which a few portfolios have also been reallocated.
In the mean while, the elevation of Udhayanidhi Stalin has been celebrated by the DMK cadres in various parts of Tamil Nadu. Various political leaders cutting across party lines have also congratulated him for having been elevated as a Minister in the recent reshuffle..
As part of this, the DMK workers of Coimbatore district, led by Gandhipuram area secretary R M Sethuraman, distributed sweets to the public in front of the DMK office in Vadakovai area of Coimbatore.
