Police Commissioner Prabhakaran personally summoned the public who had submitted petitions with regard to whether proper action was taken and if there was disposal of petitions submitted during the Grievance Redressal Meeting at the Tirupur City Police Commissioner's Office.
Tirupur: The Tirupur City Police Commissioner's Office holds a Public Grievances Redressal meeting, every month. A large number of people generally submit their complaints as petitions to the City Police Commissioner.
Since there were allegations that there was no proper action taken on the petitions thus far received, the Tamil Nadu DGP Sylendra Babu had directed City Police Commissioners to submit a report on the action taken on the petitions.
Between November and December 15, of this year, 208 people had filed petitions at the Tirupur City Police Commissioner's Office. Of these, 163 cases were disposed of.

When the remaining 45 petitions remained unresolved, the Tirupur City Police Commissioner Prabhakaran personally called the public who had lodged complaints and enquired about the action taken by the police.

Following complaints from the petitioners that the action taken by the police was unsatisfactory, he directed the police station officials to re-investigate the petition and investigate the complaints lodged by the public.

City Police Commissioner Prabhakaran also assured the petitioners that their complaints will be properly investigated and sent to the Tamil Nadu DGP Sylendra Babu.
