A youth who had invested up to Rs 15 lakh in online share trading died by suicide unable to bear the loss. He consumed pesticide and was admitted to a hospital, but succumbed.
Coimbatore: Sampath Kumar was a resident of Kannan Nagar in the Singanallur area of the city.
He was working as a Supervisor in an electronics shop and had invested about Rs 15 lakh from his savings in online share trading.
When Sampath Kumar did not get any profit from the money he had invested, he resorted to the extreme step and consumed pesticide.
Sampath Kumar was rushed to a private hospital by his wife and family. However, he succumbed. The deceased Sampath Kumar is survived by his wife and a child.
Singanallur police have registered a case and are investigating,
