The State Bank of India (SBI) branch, which operates in the SIDCO area in Coimbatore, was closed in the presence of the Bank's manager, as usual, the day before yesterday following all security measures.

When the Assistant manager returned to the bank yesterday morning, as usual, he found the window bars in the bank tampered with.

Following this, he immediately informed the Podanur police.
