Dharani, who hailed from Tiruvallur district had arrived in Coimbatore to buy various business items. He had reportedly not emerged from his hotel room for a long time on Monday which made the hotel staff suspicious enough to break down his door.
Coimbatore: Dharani, a resident of Rukmani Nagar in Tiruvallur district arrived in Coimbatore on December 30 and was staying at a private hotel in Ramnagar area. Dharani, who had arrived in Coimbatore to buy various business items, had reportedly not come out of his hotel room for a long time on Monday which made the hotel staff suspicious.
Even after the staff knocked on Dharani's door several times, there was no response. The hotel staff then broke open the door and were shocked to find that Dharani had ended his life by suicide, by hanging himself to death.
On information, the Kattoor police rushed to the spot and recovered Dharani's body, and sent the body to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for autopsy. The police are also investigating the reason behind the suicide.
