Erode Congress MLA Thirumahan Everaa passes away due to cardiac arrest in Erode

Several leaders across political parties condoled the untimely demise of Erode East Assembly constituency member, 46-year-old Thirumahan Everaa, the son of E V K S Elangovan, a stalwart of the Congress party.


Coimbatore: Erode East MLA Thirumahan Everaa passed away due to a sudden cardiac arrest on Wednesday. Many political leaders and the general public condoled his death. Coimbatore South MLA and BJP Women's Wing National President, Vanathi Srinivasan also expressed her condolences.

In a statement, Vanathi Srinivasan said, "Shocked and saddened to learn about the passing away of Thirumahan Everaa, son of former Tamil Nadu Congress Committee President and former Union Minister of State, E V K S Elangovan and member of the Erode East Assembly constituency, due to cardiac arrest at the age of 46. I have interacted with him several times while attending the Assembly session.

Though our parties and ideologies are different, he had such brotherly affection. E V K S Elangovan has lost his son and I don't know how to console him. My deepest condolences to the family of EVKS and the Congress party for the loss of Thirumahan Everaa."
