NAYA 2K17 provided a platform for students to display their talents in extra-curricular activities


Around 750 students from 50 colleges from across south India gathered under one roof to participate in the various competitions that were hosted  as a part of NAYA 2K17. This is Annual Management and Cultural Intercollegiate fest of Sankara Educational Institutions. This edition of NAYA 2K17 that was hosted on 9 February, provided a platform for the students of the various colleges to display their skills and talents.



Sandhya Ramachandran, Joint Secretary, Sankara Educational Institutions, inaugurated this event and motivated the participants with her inspirational speech. “Success is when you discover your passion and go for it with everything you have.” she said. Nithya Ramachandran, Deputy Joint Secretary appreciated the participants for making it to this event.



The hosts of NAYA 2K17 planned the various competitions in such a way to ensure that the participants could display their extra-curricular talents and skills and at the same time they ensured that the participants enjoyed participating in the contests. AdMad, Best Manager, Short Film, Group Dance, 100 seconds to fame, Facial painting, Quiz, Connections, Fireless Cooking and Wealth Out Of Waste were the various contest that were hosted. For a majority of the students, participating in the various contests was a fun-filled learning experience. Experts from the various fields were judges for the competitions and declared the winners.



At NAYA 2K17, while the various competitions were in progress, a section of students were busy clicking selfies at the selfie corner. The food court at this venue, gave the students an opportunity to grab a quick bite.



At the valedictory function, Dr. H. Balakrishnan, Principal SANSAC, distributed the prizes t the winners of the various contests and thanked the participants for their enthusiasm and support throughout the day of NAYA 2K17. Dr. Priya Kalyanasundaram, Head of the Department, SIMS appreciated the tireless efforts of the student coordinators, students, faculty coordinators and administrative staff of MBA and SANSAC for making this event a grand success.

NAYA 2K17 was coordinated by Prof. K. Thirugnana Sambanthan, Prof. D. Nithya, Prof. S. Saravanakumar and Prof.V.Vishnupriyadharshini.
