Police arrest tippler for brutally attacking and killing a two-month-old pet dog near Vadavalli

A CCTV footage of a two-month-old puppy being beaten to death by a tippler in an inebriated condition at Somaiyampalayam in Vadavalli in Coimbatore has gone viral on social media.


Coimbatore: Police have arrested Senthil (30) for brutally attacking a two-month-old pet puppy and causing its death at Somaiyampalayam near Vadavalli.

The police action was taken on a complaint by the pet owner Sivakumar (26), of Somaiyampalayam in Vadavalli

According to police, Sivakumar had a two-month-old puppy as his pet dog.



Senthil (30), who is said to be a tippler and drug addict, and who lives near his house brutally attacked the puppy with stones and sticks and killed it in the process. Senthil was in an inebriated state when he tortured and killed the puppy.

When Sivakumar, the owner of the puppy questioned his behaviour, Senthil also abused him and threatened to kill him.

Based on a complaint lodged by Sivakumar, the Vadavalli police arrested the offender and remanded him in custody.
