While the debate on who among the actors Vijay and Ajith is the current superstar, actor Mohan, who participated in a private college event in Coimbatore, said both actors fit the bill.

Coimbatore: While, actor Rajinikanth is given the honorific “Superstar” title in Tamil cinema and is popular among four generations of fans, in the present scenario the title is given to none. Whether actors Vijay and Ajith, fit the bill? This question is being repeatedly asked by many in social media.

Actor Mohan, who graced a function for the inauguration of a mini theatre with state-of-the-art technology at a private college in Thirumalaiyampalayam in Coimbatore has to confront this question too.

While addressing the media, the actor shared various information and experiences about cinema and its current status.

It's heartening to note a state-of-the-art theatre has come up for students of visual communication and added that it is the first time such as theatre is inaugurated on a college campus.

When parrying questions about Vijay and Ajith’s Pongal releases “Varisau” and “Thunivu” the actor Mohan said “I will watch the film , for which I get my tickets first” About the superstar status of actors today, he said "Both Vijay and Ajith are superstars. But if the title is a fixture it is only for Rajinikanth” actor Mohan added.

Actor Mohan said, "The success of a film lies in various factors. I will act only if the story of the film is good. That's the reason why I haven't acted in a film for so long”.

“I will only make a film if I like the story and direction. Technology changes with the times. We have to change accordingly. New films are getting released not only in theatres but on OTT and on the Internet," Mohan said.
