A major disaster was averted when a lorry carrying 306 Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders, which was on its way to Ooty in Nilgiris district turned turtle. It has been reported that Karthick, the driver of this lorry attempted to give way to a vehicle which headed in the opposite direction, thus resulting in this mishap.
Miraculously, driver Karthick escaped without any injuries. A major disaster was averted as there was no leakage of the LPG cylinders.
