Mayor Kalpana inspects various on-going works in North zone of the City Corporation

Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar inspected the Micro Composting Centre at Thudiyalur market area under the North Zone of Coimbatore Corporation and also inspected various ongoing works.


Coimbatore: Coimbatore Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar inspected the various on going works under the North Zone of the city corporation.

Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar visited the Micro Composting Centre at Thudiyalur Market area under ward no.2 of and inspected it and enquired about its functioning.

Following this, the Mayor inspected the construction of a urinal at a cost of Rs.1.83 lakhs in the same area. She instructed the engineer to complete the works expeditiously.

She also visited Urban Health Centre in Thudiyalur area and inspected it. She enquired from the patients about the treatment methods, maternal and child health and the availability of medicines and tablets.

She also inspection the construction of icro Composting Centre at Appanaickenpalayam at an estimated cost of Rs.69 lakhs and the Urban Health Centre at a cost of Rs.25 lakhs in the same area.

She also inspected the ongoing works for tar roads 200 metres at Kalaignar Nagar at a cost of Rs.4.95 lakhs. She instructed the concerned engineer to complete the works expeditiously and put them to use.



Following this, after instructing the concerned engineer to prepare a suitable project estimate for the construction of storm water drain from PRM Garden to Thudiyalur junction under ward no.1, Later, Mayor Kalpana inspected the construction of the newly constructed Urban Health Centre at a cost of Rs.25 lakh in Nallampalayam, Jayanthi Nagar area under ward no.18.

The Mayor also inspected a bio-composting centre at Ramasamy Nagar in Kavundampalayam in north zone.



She also inspected the construction of additional classrooms at Ramasamy Nagar Corporation Higher Secondary School in Nallampalayam constructed at a cost of Rs 90 lakh. North Zone V. Kathirvel, Councillors Pushpamani, Karpagam, Radhakrishnan, Assistant Commissioner Mohanasundari, Assistant Executive Engineer Senthil Bhaskar, Health Inspector Paunraj and corporation officials were present during the inspection.
