Vengaivayal caste issue - VCK protest in Ooty

The Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) staged a protest in Ooty against the incident in which human excreta was mixed in a drinking water tank by miscreants in Vengaivayal village in Pudukottai district.


The Nilgiris: A few days ago, some anti-social elements mixed human excreta in a high-level drinking water tank in Vengaivayal village in Pudukottai district.

The incident had sent shockwaves through Tamil Nadu and the police registered a case in connection with the incident. More than five people have been arrested and are being interrogated.

While the case has now been transferred to the CB-CID, on behalf of various parties, protests are being held against the incident in which the water tank is mixed with faeces.



As part of this, the Nilgiris District Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi staged a protest in front of the Ooty Central Bus Stand.



More than 50 Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) activists participated in the protest led by district president Sahadevan and raised slogans to press for their demands.
