Kerala government should not conduct survey on Tamil Nadu border without TN govt knowledge: Minister KKSSR Ramachandran in Coimbatore

Minister KKSSR Ramachandran has directed the Kerala government not to conduct a survey at the Tamil Nadu border without the government's knowledge permission and asked district collectors should be careful.

Coimbatore: The Chief Minister has instructed the officials to give priority to take land for industries as more industries are going to be set up in Coimbatore district, Minister KKSR Ramachandran said.

Revenue and Disaster Management Minister KKSSR Ramachandran chaired a review meeting on the work of revenue officials at the Collectorate auditorium in Coimbatore.

Electricity Minister Senthil Balaji, District Collector Sameeran, Additional Chief Secretary Revenue Secretary Kumar Jayant and several other officials were present.

Minister KKSSR Ramachandran later told reporters:

The Chief Minister has also ordered to increase the online service so that people do not have to wander to the RTO offices or taluk offices, to expedite the airport works, SIPCOT works and land acquisition works.

A lot of industries should come up in Coimbatore district. Therefore, we have instructed the officials to give priority to take land for industries. We have ordered that the old age pension be disbursed to anyone without any hindrance. Minister Senthil Balaji has requested for old age pension for 6,000 new people in Coimbatore district. We have promised the minister that we will provide it.

There are 10 constituencies in Coimbatore district. But there are only 11 taluk offices. Minister Senthil Balaji said that having one taluk office for 4 lakh people is creating a non-working environment.

Keeping this in mind, in the budget session of the coming financial year, we will work on setting up a certain number of revenue taluk offices for our district.

Minister Senthil Balaji is also focusing on the revenue survey.

Even if the patta, heirs and old age amounts are eligible, the resolution will be obtained within 15 days and action will be taken on the petitions.

"We have informed the Kerala government that when ever the Government of Kerala comes to survey lands on the Tamil Nadu border, it should not come without the permission of the Government of Tamil Nadu. The Chief minister has instructed the district collectors to be careful in the matter, he said.
