The service period of the Hyderabad–Mangaluru Central weekly special trains, operating via Salem, Erode, Tiruppur and Podanur in Coimbatore, has been extended until November 26 to meet increasing passenger demand.
Coimbatore: The service period of the Hyderabad–Mangaluru Central weekly special train services operating via Podanur in Coimbatore has been extended until late November. The trains will operate via Salem, Erode, Tiruppur and Podanur.
Accordingly, Train No. 07097, the Hyderabad–Mangaluru Central Weekly Special, will leave Hyderabad at 4.20 a.m. every Wednesday from September 9 to November 25, operating 12 services during the extended period. The train will reach Mangaluru Central at 9.30 a.m. on Thursdays.
The return service, Train No. 07098, the Mangaluru Central–Hyderabad Weekly Special, will leave Mangaluru Central at 8 p.m. every Thursday from September 10 to November 26, also operating 12 services. It will reach Hyderabad at 4 a.m. on Saturdays.
The trains will operate via Salem, Erode, Tiruppur and Podanur, providing connectivity for passengers travelling through the western Tamil Nadu region.
Train No. 07097 will reach Salem at 10.30 p.m. and depart at 10.40 p.m. on Wednesdays, while its scheduled timings at Erode are 11.35 p.m. and 11.40 p.m. It will arrive at Tiruppur at 12.28 a.m. and Podanur at 1.18 a.m. on Thursdays.
On its return journey, Train No. 07098 will arrive at Podanur at 3.40 a.m. and Tiruppur at 5.23 a.m. on Fridays before proceeding towards Erode and Salem.
The special trains will have AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class, General Second Class and Luggage-cum-Brake Van coaches, including accommodation for differently abled passengers.
