Coimbatore: The Congress party staged a protest near sulur new bus stand in Coimbatore district demanding the withdrawal of Governor R N Ravi by the Central government.
The protest, led by Coimbatore Suburban North district Congress party president VMC Manohar, was led by Governor R N Ravi, who was accused of acting against sovereignty.

More than 100 Congress workers participated in the protest and condemned the behaviour of Governor R N Ravi in the Assembly. Slogans were also raised condemning the pendency of the bills including online rummy and NEET.

Speaking to reporters later, VMC Manoharan, “The Centre should take steps to replace Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi immediately. The governor's actions have been against Tamil Nadu.
"The governor's act of not approving the bill banning online games and tarnishing the image of the legislature is condemnable," he said.
