Vengaivayal issue - VCK protest in Tirupur

The Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi staged a protest demanding action against the anti-social elements who mixed feces in the drinking water tank used by the Scheduled Castes in Vengaivayal village.



Tirupur: The Unified District Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) staged a protest in front of the Corporation office in Tirupur.

It is alleged that anti-social elements mixed feces in a water overhead tank used by scheduled caste people at Iraiyur near Vengaivayal in Pudukottai district.

In order to condemn this, they seaked orders for Dalits to be allowed to enter hindu places of worship. On behalf of the Tirupur Combined District Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi they demanded the abolition of double cup system in tea shops.



A protest was held in front of the corporation office under the leadership of North district secretary Tamil Venthan.



At the protest, he demanded strict action against the casteist mobs who mixed human excreta in drinking water.



They raised slogans demanding that the Tamil Nadu government should provide adequate security to the Arundhati people who could enter the places of worship.

Zonal organising secretary Susi Kalaiyarasan, east district secretary Tamilmuthu, south district secretary Sathish, Ilancherthai Uthirai camp state deputy secretary Durai Valavan, parliamentary constituency deputy secretary Muruganantham, Kangayam assembly constituency secretary John Knox, Palladam assembly constituency secretary Rangasamy, north assembly constituency secretary Moorthy, Madathukulam block secretary Easwaran, Untouchability Eradication Front state secretary Kanagaraj and Tirupur combined district liberation. Many functionaries of the Unified District Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi participated.
