Distribution of coconut seedlings and vegetable seeds at the coordination camp of all departments under the All Village Integrated Agriculture Development Programme held at Kurudampalayam Panchayat near Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: The Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department of Coimbatore district organized a coordination camp of all departments under Kalaignar's All Village Integrated Agriculture Development Scheme (AIUDP) at Kurudampalayam panchayat in the premises of the panchayat office.
On the advice of Perumalsamy, Deputy Director of Agriculture, Agri-Business and Agriculture, the overall rural development of the area under Kurudampalayam Panchayat and for the benefit of the farmers. Patta, Small and Marginal Farmers Certificate, crop loan and kisan card application, distribution of coconut seedlings on behalf of agriculture department and horticulture department and distribution of vegetable seeds were done.
In this camp, project demonstrations were made by the Animal Husbandry Department. The camp was presided over by panchayat president T Ravi and certificates were distributed to the farmers. Agriculture Officer Annapoorani and Periyanaickenpalayam Block Development Officer Senthil Kumar presided over the function.
Periyanaickenpalayam Agriculture Assistant Officer Mani welcomed everyone.
The camp also included distribution of farmers' market farmers' cards and provision of loans up to Rs 2 crore.
Union Councillor Manickam, Panchayat Councillors, Agriculture Department, Horticulture Department, Animal Husbandry Department, Revenue Department, Agricultural Marketing and Commerce Department, Seed Certification Department, Agricultural Engineering Department, Cooperative Department, Electricity Department and other departments and farmers participated in the camp in large numbers.
