Two men from Southern districts arrested for selling liquor in Thudiyalur

Two persons have been arrested for selling government liquor at a high price in Subramaniapalayam and KNG Pudur areas under Thudiyalur police station limits.



Coimbatore: Police have arrested two persons for selling government liquor at a high price in the black market in areas under Thudiyalur police station limits. They seized 40 bottles of liquor from them.

The police received a tip-off that government liquor was being sold at a high price in the black market in Subramaniampalayam area under Thudiyalur police station limits in Coimbatore.

Thudiyalur Police Sub-Inspector Guru Chandra Vadivel, who rushed to the spot on the information, Mahalingam, a native of Ramanathapuram district, who was selling liquor there, was arrested and 22 bottles of liquor were seized from him.

Prabhu, a native of Sivagangadistrict, was also arrested for selling liquor in KNG Pudur area. Police seized 18 bottles of liquor from him and released the two on police station bail.
