Two-wheeler collides with rock in Valparai - Youth killed

A two-wheeler in which the youths were travelling collided with a rock at Valparai in Coimbatore district last night. Magesh, a youth, succumbed to his injuries.



Coimbatore: Magesh (23) is a resident of Pachamalai Estate in Valparai. Manikandan (23) of Cinchona State, Nandakumar (22) of Cinchona Estate and Ashwin (18) of Rottikadai were on a two-wheeler last night. From Valparai, they have gone to The Cinchona Estate area.

The light of the two-wheeler reportedly broke down while on its way to the Sirukundra Estate area. Due to this, the two-wheeler skidded off the road and fell on the rock and met with an accident. Magesh sustained serious injuries. The other three also suffered minor injuries.

Magesh, who was injured, was put in a vehicle passing by and rushed to valparai government hospital for treatment. There, the doctors who examined him said that Magesh had died.



The police have registered a case against Manikandan, who was driving the two-wheeler, and are investigating. The death of a youth in a two-wheeler accident has caused grief in the area.
