'Swine flu medicines fully stocked' affirms Joint Director of Health Department, TN.


Joint Director of Tamil Nadu Health Department Kulandaisamy participated in an awareness programme on prevention of diseases that was hosted at PSG College in the city today. 

When speaking to the press after the event he said that “Swine flu prevention medicines are kept ready in Tamil Nadu. Sufficient quantity of Tamiflu tablets which are used to treat Swine flu are available with the Tamil Nadu government. Efforts have been made to distribute this medicine to all private hospitals, as well. Awareness have been created to the people in urban and rural areas about the prevention of the disease'

He also affirmed that vaccination for Rubella and Measles will be completed by April in all the states. 



The students who took part in the meeting were advised to wash their hands 12 times a day as a precautionary measure to safeguard themselves from the disease. The basic principles to keep the hands clean like how to clean the hands properly and what disinfectants needs to be used to clean hands were also taught to the students.
