MPs A. Raja, Kanimozhi and Minister K. Ramachandran visited the Theppakadu elephant camp in Mudumalai to congratulate the indigenous couple who have acted in the Oscar-winning documentary 'The Elephant Whisperers'.
The Nilgiris: The documentary 'The Elephant Whisperers', a story of a couple in Mudumalai caring for an abandoned elephant calf has been nominated for the Oscars in the best documentary short film category.
In the meanwhile, Nilgiris MP A Raja, MP Kanimozhi, Minister K Ramachandran and other government officials visited the Theppakadu Elephant camp.
They congratulated Bomman and Belli, the couple who brought laurels to India as the documentary they have acted on has won a nomination for the coveted best documentary Short film award in Oscar Award 2023.
