The inauguration ceremony of the renovated 120-year-old Jamia Masjid Sunnat Jamaat mosque was conducted today, in which Minister M.P Saminathan took part.
Tirupur: The renovation work of the 120-year-old mosque at Udumalpet in Tiruppur district has been completed and it was opened to the devotees, in which TN Information and Publicity Minister M P
Swaminathan took part.
Rao Bahadur Syed Diwan Abdul Razzaq, who was the first Municipal chairman and Khan Bahadur Janab Sayyid Sayyid Diwan Mohideen Saheb Bhatsa, the second chairman led the town council from 1917 to 1928 in Udumalpet municipality.
Moreover, tearful tributes were paid at every mosque on the occasion of Choliya Gounder's death. Which shows the religious amity practised in the town.
