'Manithaneya Vaaram' celebrations organised in Valparai

Coimbatore: The Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department organized the 'Manithaneya Vaaram' function at the Government Arts College at Valparai in Coimbatore district.

More than 50 students from nine schools including Adi Dravidar Welfare Schools and Tribal Schools participated in the function.



Pollachi Sub-Collector Priyanka was the chief guest on the occasion.



As part of the festival, cultural programmes were held by the school children. There were drama and cultural programmes on humanitarian values.



This was followed by a public grievance awareness camp in six tribal villages, which was presided over by the Sub-Collector Priyanka.

Petitions demanded road facilities, issuance of birth and death certificates and electricity connections were submitted to the Sub- collector on the occasion.
