Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced that the capital will be shifted from Amaravati to Visakhapatnam.
Visakhapatnam will be the new capital of Andhra Pradesh, according to Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said, "I have come to invite you to Visakhapatnam, which is our new capital".
He said this while addressing a meeting of the International Federation of Diplomatic Missions in New Delhi today.
The CM said plans are afoot to shift the capital to Visakhapatnam city.
“I invite you and your colleagues to see for yourself how easy it is to do business in Andhra Pradesh." YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said.
While Hyderabad became the permanent capital of Telangana after the bifurcation of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada functioned as the temporary capital of AP.
Chandrababu Naidu then announced the new capital city of Amaravati.
But after Jagan Mohan came to power, he vehemently opposed the decision to make Amaravati the capital.
