Literary Fiesta 2017 hosted at Sri Ramakrishna College Women


Literary and Fine Arts Association, which functions under the portals of the Department of English, Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science for Women, conducted a grand literary Carnival, Literary Fiesta with the focus on the needs of skill based learning. The Association was inaugurated on 15.02.2017.



Anandhi. M, Head, Department of English Welcomed the gathering and introduced the Chief Guest. Mrs. K. Chitra, Principal of Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science for Women gave the Presidential address, where she stressed the importance of English Language and how it plays a key role in job recruitment.



Dr. K.Devadoss, Professor and Head, Department of English, Kumaraguru College of Technology was the Chief Guest and he shared his views on the topic “English for Everybody and Everyday”. He explained the origin of English language and how it attained its supremacy. He further elucidated the uniqueness of English Language and its necessity in the current scenario. 

Various off stage like essay writing, poem writing, cartoon scape and drawing were conducted among the students of various departments of the college to bring out their talents.
