Three persons have been arrested for allegedly threatening to kill a push-cart eatery owner for asking them to pay the bill for the food they ate near Karamadai.
Coimbatore: Senthil Kumar (31) is a native of Anna Nagar in Karamadai near Mettupalayam, and he is running a push-cart eatery near the Karamadai bus stand.
One Bhagyaraj came to his shop last week and ate lunch but went without paying money.
A quarrel ensued between the two, when Senthilkumar demanded the bill amount be paid, which Bhagyaraj refused to pay up.
In the meanwhile, Gokul Krishnan (22), a resident of Karamadai, Alex alias Gnanaraj (27) of Mariyapuram in Karamadai and Bhagyaraj (47) of Mariyapuram came to Senthil Kumar's shop on a two-wheeler, when Senthil Kumar was at his shop yesterday.

They dragged Senthil Kumar out and abused him and issued a life threat at knifepoint.
Later, Senthil Kumar lodged a complaint at the Karamadai police station.
Based on this, Karamadai police inspector Kumar and sub-inspector Sultan Ibrahim registered a case and arrested the trio who threatened to kill the eatery owner.
