State-level yoga competition held in Idaiyarpalayam, prizes distributed

Prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners of the 11th State Level Yoga Championship held at Idaiyarpalayam in the city.



Coimbatore: The 11th State-level Yoga Championship was held at Idayarpalayam in Coimbatore under the aegis of Alpha Yoga Training centre.



Former President of the Yoga Cultural Society inaugurated the competitions by lighting the ceremonial lamp.



The yoga competitions were held in four categories and students from 3rd standard to 12th standard took part. The undergraduate and postgraduate college students participated in another category.



The contestants performed three asanas in as many as three minutes which was lauded by many.

They also performed various types of asanas like back bending, hand balancing, leg balancing, body twisting asanas, artistic yoga, and rhythmic yoga.
