Man killed after a swarm of wild bees attacks him near Valparai

In a tragic accident, Marimuthu, a driver died after being attacked by a swarm of wild bees while he was walking down the road near Lower Paralai Estate near Valparai.



Coimbatore: In a tragic accidenta man was killed after being attacked by a swarm of wild bees near Valparai inCoimbatore district.

Marimuthu (45) was living with his wife and two children in Lower Paralai Estate near Valparai.

Marimuthu, who was working as a driver in a private company in Coimbatore, did not go to work due to ill health.



Meanwhile, Marimuthu had gone to the bazaar to buy goods by yesterday afternoon, when wild bees that came in swarms attacked him. He succumbed to his injuries on the spot.



Municipal ChairmanAzhagu Sundaravalli and councillor Anbarasan Selvam, who reached the spot after receiving the information, informed the police.

His body was taken to Valparai Government hospital in an ambulance for post-mortem.
