City Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar participated in the ‘Bhoomi pooja’ of a new school building and renovation works of the Corporation school at Chinnavedampatti at 11th ward of the North zone.
Coimbatore: Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar inaugurated the construction of new building at an estimated cost of Rs.51 lakh and renovation works being carried out at a Corporation school in Chinnavedampatti.
The public has long been demanding the construction of a new classroom building at the Corporation Government School in the Chinnavedampatti Sivanandapuram area of the 11th ward of City Corporation.
Subsequently, permission was granted to construct a new school building at an estimated cost of Rs 51 lakhs under the “Namakku Naame†scheme.
Similarly, the renovation and repair of five classrooms with new roofing at a cost of Rs.24 lakh has also been taken up with 33% private participation.
North Zone President Kathirvel, Assistant Commissioner Mohanasundari, Assistant Executive Engineer Senthil Bhaskar and Ward Councillors took part.
