“While thelate Thirumagan Evera had received the affection and respect of the people, the same will be converted into votes, and also, E V K S Elangovan is a strong candidate” Easwaran noted.

Replying to a question on Seeman's remarks on the pen memorial issue, Easwaran said “ as he is in opposition, he could make comments against the government, but the same should not be inciting violence”

Replying to a question from reporters on the Adani issue, he said that “a big industrialist in the country has indulged in malpractices, and it is the duty of the government to investigate it and bring out the truth”.

"Whoever questions about Adani's misdeeds and irregularities are raised it is protected by members of the Bharatiya Janata Party” he alleged.

“Are Adani and the BJP one and the same? If not why should PM Modi gets worked up if someone talks about Adani?” Easwaran demanded to know.
