An Audi car driven by a youth collided head-on with motorists on two-wheelers near Thudiyalur in Coimbatore. A young woman was seriously injured in the crash and has been admitted to a private hospital in a critical condition.
Coimbatore: Vishnu (26), a native of Anaikatti in Kerala, was driving his Audi car on the road from Vadamadurai to Palani Goundan Pudur on Monday. He was accompanied by Syed Mohammed (30) of Thudiyalur and Mithuniyam (27), a resident of Anaikatti Trench in Kerala.

Vishnu lost control of the speeding Audi car while trying to turn into the road leading to Palani Goundan Pudur.

Ajay (29), a resident of Pannimadai in Coimbatore who was riding a two-wheeler on the same road was hit by the car, as well as Sasirekha (29), a resident of Coimbatore's Rose Garden Thendral Nagar who was also on another two-wheeler.

Sasirekha has sustained serious injuries and was admitted to a nearby private hospital in a critical condition, while Ajay was rushed to a Government Hospital with minor injuries.

Thudiyalur police, who rushed to the spot on receiving the information, nabbed Vishnu who was driving the Audi car, and are investigating.
