The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) consultative meeting held in Pollachi urged the government to take urgent steps to recover the Waqf board properties encroached upon in many places in Tamil Nadu.
Coimbatore: An all-India conference will be held in Chennai in March to mark the 75th diamond jubilee celebrations of the Indian Union Muslim League(IUML), a consultative meeting was held in Pollachi in which the office bearers participated
The meeting was attended by the newly elected office bearers in Pollachi and office bearers from various districts including Coimbatore.
Indian Union Muslim League state youth wing president Mohammad Yunus, who attended the meeting as a special invitee, when
addressing the media said.
“At the 75th diamond Jubilee Conclave to be held in Chennai in March, it would be urged to release the convicts of Coimbatore bomb blasts case and raise the reservation to seven per cent from the present three-and-a-half per cent”
Mohammed Yunus said that a project study at the conference would be presented to get rid of drug addiction habits like alcohol, ganja among youth.
Adding he said that there were not enough staff to recover the properties belonging to the Waqf Board which is under encroachment in Tamil Nadu.
