'Tamil Puligal’ caders arrested for attempting to burn effigy of NTK leader Seeman in Pollachi

At an election meeting held at Thirunagar Colony on the 13th last, NTK Chief coordinator Seeman canvassed for votes in support of his party candidate Mohana, and allegedly spoke against the Arunthathiyar community people.


Coimbatore: The cadres of Tamil Puligal outfit, were arrested for trying to burn an effigy of NTK leader Seeman near Gandhi statue in Pollachi, allegedly for making derogatory remarks against Arunthathiyar community people.

Even as the by-election to the Erode East constituency will be held on May 27, political parties have been engaged in intensive canvassing for votes.

The Tamil Tigers who brought an effigy of Seeman were prevented from setting fire to it by the police.



The Tamil Puligal activists demanded the arrest of Seeman under the Prevention of Atrocities Act and demanded the banning of Naam Tamilar Katchi.
