Relief materials worth about Rs 5 lakh was sent from Tirupur to the earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.



Tirupur: All India Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre has extended help and sent relief materials worth about Rs 5 lakh to help the people of Turkey and Syria affected by a major earthquake.

People in Turkey and Syria have lost their numerous lives and their belongings due to the earthquake that struck the region, a few days ago.



In order to help the affected people, the All India Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre in Tirupur district sent hosiery items worth about Rs 5 lakh today.

The event was held at the head office of the All India Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre near the Old Bus Stand in Tirupur, inaugurated by Shafiq Ali.



“These relief materials will be transported from here and handed over to the embassy in Delhi. This is the first phase of relief, and we would continue to extend a helping hand until normalcy returns to Turkey and Syria” the organizers said.
