AAI makes life easy for passengers at the Coimbatore International Airport

Coimbatore International  Airport,  one  of the  fastest  growing airports  in  the country, has seen  almost 17% in  traffic  growth  in  the  last  3 years.  

To  keep  up  with  this  burgeoning growth  and to  ensure a hassle  free,  enjoyable passenger  experience,  the  airport  has made a series  of  improvements  to  improve  current  customer  service levels' constrained  with an old building structure and limited  terminal  space,  AAI  has launched project DISHA [Driving  Improvements  in  service & Hospitality  at  Airports] to improve  the operational  efficiency  and  customer  service  levels  at Coimbatore  Airport along  with  9 other  airports.  

The project DISHA team  conducted a thorough  diagnosis to  help identify and  understand  the  problem areas  at the airport.  Some of the key problems like issues with toilet facilities, insufficient infrastructure, waiting time, security hold area's limited dining time etc., were identified.

This diagnosis  enabled  the  Project  DISHA team  to  focus  on five  objectives  to  deliver best  in  class  customer  service  and  operations  excellence like Improving queue timing, affordable best in class F&B among others. AAIs concerted efforts through Project DISHA resulted in a total of 40 initiatives being identified to achieve the objectives.
