Collector distributes Rs 1.51 crore worth of welfare assistance in Annur

Coimbatore: District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati distributed government welfare assistance worth Rs 1.51 crore at a public relations camp held at Annur in Coimbatore district.

Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi kumar Pati participated in the public relations camp held at Karegoundenpalayam near Annur and received petitions from the public.

On this occasion, he distributed government welfare assistance to the tune of Rs.1.51 crores to 465 beneficiaries. On behalf of the Revenue Department, he also distributed free house site pattas worth Rs 60.90 lakh to 77 beneficiaries.



Order for disbursement of assistance worth Rs 14.88 lakh to 124 beneficiaries under social security scheme, e-ration cards for 25 beneficiaries, subsidy to 10 farmers at a cost of Rs 1.26 lakh on behalf of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare were distributed.

Similarly, he distributed subsidy amounting to Rs 8.46 lakh to 50 beneficiaries on behalf of horticulture department, green houses worth Rs 2.70 lakh per beneficiary on behalf of rural development department and nutrition kits worth Rs 1 lakh to 20 beneficiaries under public health department.

He also distributed loan assistance worth Rs.1 lakh to 2 beneficiaries through Primary Agriculture and Co-operative Societies and washing boxes worth Rs.19,484 to 4 beneficiaries on behalf of the District Backward Classes Welfare Department.

Under the Mahila Yojana, 134 Women Self Help Groups will be provided with social investment fund and personal bank loans worth Rs.56.85 lakhs. On behalf of the Sericulture Department, 11 beneficiaries were given welfare assistance worth Rs.3.7 lakhs and 465 beneficiaries were given welfare assistance worth Rs.1.51 crore.



Prior to the event, the District Collector visited the halls set up by various departments there.



Divisional Officer Pandharinathan, Annur Panchayat Union Vice-President Sathyamoorthy, Karegoundenpalayam Panchayat President Thangaraj and others were present on the occasion.
