Robotics Technology in Coimbatore Industry - Industrialists show interest

Like in countries like Japan and Korea, Coimbatore industry leaders are keen to introduce robotic technology in their processes. It is hoped that this will provide more production and solve the shortage of manpower.

Coimbatore: Like Japan, Korea and Denmark, industries in Coimbatore are upgrading to modern robotic technology. Though one or two industries had already used robotics, now there is a more concerted effort to move to advanced technologies.

Tamil Nadu has the highest number of industries at the national level, including small and medium scale industries. Tamil Nadu alone accounts for 16.6 per cent of the total number of industries in India.

Of these, more than one lakh cottage industries, small and medium enterprises are operating in Coimbatore alone. On the one hand, there is a rise in the price of raw materials and less orders, but on the other hand there is a shortage of manpower to work in the company.

To solve the shortage of work personnel and to produce high quality products, they are also planning to introduce new technology in the industry so that more products can be produced in less time.

SimpliCity spoke to Karthik, Chairman of Co India and Deccan Pump. He said, “the pump set electric motor textile spare parts manufacturing in Coimbatore are planning to establish world-class standards in the machines used for engineering related products.

Co-India is planning to introduce robotic technology, which is used in countries like Japan, Korea and Denmark, in Coimbatore industries.

The members of this organization, which is tasked with taking the industry to the next level, are planning to go abroad and learn about the robot's applications in the industry.

Robotic Technology

It is their belief that there will be various developments for the industry when the work is carried out in the factories through robotics. It is possible to produce materials faster by robotics. They will be able to compete with rival countries and excel by getting more orders and becoming more members.

Quality checking can be done with a sensor by preparing durable quality products as it is said that quality is generational. Once the technology is upgraded, world-class products can be manufactured from Coimbatore.

It is the belief of the industry that small level work will be carried out without any let-up as the small work in the factories will be carried out by robots.

It is seen as healthy that the industrialists of Coimbatore are making efforts to improve the industry by incorporating modern technology in the modern world on the basis that we too have to change according to the times.
